I just phoned the Beacon (and if you're into abuse I suggest you call too!) 
here is my report:

1.  No posting of GFR on the 25th of APR as of yet

2.  No cameras allowed in the theatre unless a special deal is made between 
the performers and the security of the theatre.  Typically, if cameras are 
permitted it is printed on the ticket.

3.  Box office hours are 11 am to 7 pm (sometimes 'til 11 pm depending on 
the show that day).  Tickets are sold for cash only (so don't show up with 
plastic, checks, m.o.'s, beads, or wampum, they won't take it). FYI -- 
phone no. 1-212-496-7070.  If you decide to call be prepared for a lovely 
chat.  I suggest that you bone up on your best Andrew Dice Clay lines 
before you call --like: "Hey, Snapperhead, shouldn't you be haunting a 
house with that f---ing voice?  Are you always this nice or are you just 
sitting on a 10 inch...... " The woman I spoke with (was yelled at by) was 
a real pisser!  I'm just warning you country folk.

Definitely two tickets....maybe more!  I'd really appreciate your effort

I thought it was "without love in the air" I could have been tripping though.
By the way, I have heard some "rumors"  re: the shows. Word has it that the
orchestra will open with 2001, band will take stage, guest artist will join
band onstage for songs from early period. All the while footage from Shea
concert plays in background on giant screens. Second half begins with
Overture of Funk tunes by orchestra, then band joins for more "hits" with
orchestra. Finale with all for "I'm Your Captain".  All three shows to be
audio/video taped. TV show planned for later.  Press conference scheduled for
 3-5-97 at the UNITED NATIONS building. This is going to be KILLER!!!

I've been too busy smoozing the wife to let me go back East as well as
the LA show - it's not going to well so far.

The LA show is a lock. Anybody on this list from LA - I'd like to know
where to stay, ect.

We could really use that web page to coordinate things.

I was fortunate to purchase i live video recording fron L.A.Forum -74
at a local record market here in Sweden. I wonder if there is more to
get from gfr liveconcerts back in the 70=B4s? This recording was copied
from a japanese laser disc.If someone out there have information, please

I=B4m probably one of the most devoted gfr-fans in Sweden!

I know a guy who has this laser disc and you (meaning all of us) can
forget about getting a copy of it in any format. He knows Mark Farner
and has given him a copy. Farner said it was the best he had ever seen.

This guy won't budge.......at least for now or the long term future.

Hi!

More details from Sweden about the japanese
laserdisc with gfr-concert at  L.A. Forum -74:

Recording starts with fireworks (like "caught in the act"-album)
First tracks are "footstompin=B4music","rock=B4n roll soul" and "heart-
breaker". Concert ends with "inside looking out"
Total time 55minutes.
video directed by Lynn Goldsmith and Andrew Cardineri
My vhs-copy is pretty lousy when it comes to the sound! (mono-low-fi!)
I believe that the original laserdisc contains the same audio quality
as the cd-album from -74.
The video also contains some clips with Mark, Don , Mel & Craig.
I thought this recording was frequent in the U.S.
Here in Sweden it=B4s hard to even get the records and info about gfr.
Therefore I am greatful for this site!

Keep on stompin=B4!
