Hey, I appreciate your help. I have noticed a few home-pages out there on the Web that mention "our boys" as one of their fa- vorite groups. I considered a mass-e-mailing with the list I have but have been hearing too many complaints about junk e-mail recently and didn't want the list to get a bad name. Well considering the trouble Jeff has been having getting peo- ple to e-sign his e-petition to Capitol, I don't know how much success we'll have. But, great, go for it. Everyone on the list: tell all of the Funk-faithful, all the brothers and sis- ters, the Funk-aunts, the Funk-cousins, the Funk-uncles ... ev- eryone you know who has 'Net access. Just what I read in a magzine hear a couple of years ago. Knight was bragging about getting 2.5 million or something like that. But the magazine said he didn't even get close to a million in cash. But, he did take some of their favorite amps and other stuff. Supposedly really pissed them off. Messenger? I don't know. hey, I know my spelling sucks buts it's almost 4:30 AM here and I wron out! I have to find it, it's not a standard font on my set. I found a Cooper Blk BT looking like it, but the letters are too wide. Does anyone recall the method GSGP was recorded. I remember reading in any magazine back in '76 that Frank Zappa chose a big concert hall and put the microphones all around the hall to catch the real echo / reverb sound, no effects were used. What ever happened to the magazine the Hit Parader? Does it still exist? In the Netherlands you have to go to a special American Import shop to find all the American magazines. Hey Jim, I've been playing keyboards since I was about 8. Started with a console organ in the house and gradually moved up to a Hohner electric piano for portability. Use a synthesizer now, along with the piano. In my band days Grand Funk was our groups staple. Out of necessity I learned guitar, since our guitar player sucked. Nothing is finer than cranking out some riffs on the keyboard or guitar on a weekend with GFR on the stereo. I've heard a recording from a christmas CD with a song on it by Bob Seger, on drums Don on piano Craig. Sounds like a good idea, but it also sounds like some CGI pro- gramming to me. CGI programming is something that I'm in the process of learning but am not too comfortable yet. I will keep this idea in the back of my mind, though, for when I get up to speed. (This is, BTW, one of the reasons that I don't have a guest book on my site. Being the stubborn old UNIX mule that I am, I don't want to take somebody else's canned code and paste it into my site. I've got one of those "I got to do it myself" mentali- ties plus It would take too long to try to understand how it works unless I wrote it myself.) I have made it as easy as possible on my site without knowing CGI. If the reader follows the link, they just have to type in "subscribe grand-funk" when they click on the "mailto:" link, hit send and they're in. I *will* keep this other idea in mind though. Thanks!
