Speaking of "events" and "keep[ing] our shirts on" and such, I hope that nobody on this list is participating in a negative way in the brawl over at Donna's Web site. There's some really silly stuff going on over there. If you haven't stopped by but plan on doing so, you might drop a note on Donna's log book telling ev- erybody to "chill." Some of the stuff going on over there is bound to reflect neg- atively on GFR fandom. And, personally, I don't want anything to impact on the probability of me being able to see the band again. I was there and it was awesome! They also did Sin's a Good Man's Brother and Bad Time. After the show, a few of us went back to the hotel that they were staying and had a chance to talk at length with Mel and Mark's brother, Rick. They felt that Bad Time did not fit where they had it in the set list. I have since had conversations with Rick and he told me that they dropped Winter and Sin's because they were too long and didn't seem to fit. This is a SHAME. I saw three of the '96 shows and while the second two were tighter musically, they lacked the raw energy that that first comeback show had. I was fortunate to get backstage after the first two and talked with all of the band members. They had also thought about doing Upsetter and Into the Sun this last tour.
