I have been into GFR since my cousin turned me on to them in 1970! The Beatles got me interested in music, Paul McCartney got me interested in my main instrument, bass guitar! But, Grand Funk Railroad took me to a whole new level of musical understanding! Mel Schacher proved to me that a bass isn't just a bass but is as important as a lead guitar! Now I am enjoying projects such as the Tribute CD that I am coordinating with Paul "E-Pablo-us-Funk" Pedroni! Also bringing new people into the fold (ie. my wife, Traci "Upsetter" Murphy)! I have met so many fine people on the list! I thought for a while I was the only guy in the world that still liked GFR! It's nice to know I'm not alone!!! All I can say is LONG LIVE GRAND FUNK RAILROAD!!!
