Yeah, that's about right..GFR went into the studio and used what they had.....heads down and off they went. the stuff that David Tedds found was cool..the long versions of the songs from "Survival" are a fine example. In an interview in ICE Magazine done just before the "30 Years Of Funk" set was released, David had asked they guys if any other songs were cut during the sessions for WAAB. They told him that the songs on the album were all they cut. While going through the multitrack tapes, David found a tape box with "Hooray" and "The End" written on it..he thought it was a comment on the fact that the sessions were complete. He put on the tape and found the two songs which, according to him, were 90% complete. There might be other rough versions of tunes in the vault e.g "Bare Naked Woman" and "Genevieve" but they are probably too rough/ unfinished/ to be of merit.
The extra songs cut during the sessions for "What's Funk" and "Grand Funk Lives" were held back in a dispute at the time of the CD's release and probably will never be released.....a shame!
