Hi all,
As was hinted at by Rob"Bear" Garrett in a different post to this Forum, the "Tribute CD" project is "alive" again and "back on track." Karl Anderson -- a long time "roadkill"er -- recently wrote to me aobut it:
" ... I have been working with Pablo Cruze who was on the list a long time ago. Pablo is the one who got the idea of doing a Grand Funk Railroad Tribute cd going. I was one of the bands on the disc and did a version of Shinin On. Well as you know there were many attempts to get it out but it was shelved and almost lost. Well in the ensuing years I have been running my own record label. I currently have Quicksilver Messenger Service on my label as well as product coming out from Jefferson Starship and Bob Weir to name a few. Anyway as the project finally was left I ended up with the masters for the project in my 0possession. At the beginning of this year I called Pablo and told him Iwanted to finish the project and put it out on my label. So once again we started to work on it and finished the master for the final piece two days ago. There are some amazing performances and I ended up with onex ice 80 minute cd ..."
This long-awaited project is finally starting to be Shinin' On ...
